Credit card pending hold

If a policyholder contacts you with questions about a credit card pending hold, here's what you need to know:

• If payment is required for ERS from a policyholder, a hold is placed on their credit card for the overage.
• This charge will not be run through until the job is completed.
• If the service is canceled or incomplete, the customer will not be charged.
• However, the pending hold may still appear on the policyholder's credit card for a few days. It will typically fall off within 3-7 business days.
