Agero, Inc. Named Honoree of 2014 CIO 100 Awards

MEDFORD, Mass., June 18, 2014 – Agero, Inc., a leading provider of vehicle and driver safety, security and information services, has been named an honoree of the 2014 CIO 100 Awards for Agero’s innovative Roadside Connect™ platform, which delivers real-time service updates to stranded drivers. Agero is proud to be a five time recipient of this prestigious technology award.

The 27th annual CIO 100 Awards program recognizes organizations that have distinguished themselves by creating business value through the innovative use of IT to deliver competitive advantage, optimize business processes, enable growth or improve customer relationships. Overall award winners will be honored at the CIO 100 Symposium held August 17-19, 2014 in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.

“We are thrilled to be honored by the CIO 100 Awards, which is an acknowledgement of enterprise technology excellence and emphasize Agero’s leadership in the industry,” said Mark Carbrey, Senior Vice President and CIO of Agero. “A break down on the side of the road can cause a great deal of anxiety. By leveraging technology such as real-time geo-location, we’ve been able to redefine that experience. By providing a solution that handles everything from the initial breakdown to getting the driver safely to their destination, we’ve turned a frustrating and anxiety producing event into an entirely different customer experience. The positive or negative experiences a driver encounters during these incidents can directly impact their brand loyalty. This award recognizes our innovative use of technology to create this new experience and motivates us to continually push the envelope to deliver new services.”

Roadside Connect is a unique platform delivering integrated services to connect stranded motorists, roadside assistance providers and contact centers together to provide customer peace-of-mind. Stranded motorists have the ability to track – in real-time on their mobile device – the progress of their service truck while en route to their location and receive a full profile of the service professional. Service providers also have access to Agero’s towing software and a mobile app, which provides updated dispatch information to increase their efficiency while on the assignment.

The full list of 2014 CIO Award winners will be published online at CIO.com on August 1, 2014 and in the August 1 issue of .
