Agero’s Mary Reese and Patrick Davis Named ‘Best Tech Manager’ in Boston, San Francisco

Tech in Motion Announces 2021 Timmys Regional Winners, Who Advance to North American Round

MEDFORD, Mass. – October 12, 2021 – Tech in Motion announced Agero’s Mary Reese, Senior Director of Product Management, and Patrick Davis, Vice President of Product Management, the Best Tech Managers in Boston and the San Francisco Bay Area, respectively. Mary and Patrick were chosen by their peers and local tech community as Regional Winners and will now advance to the North American Judging round. After thousands of votes collected during Timmy Awards voting, Mary and Patrick will have the opportunity to receive even more recognition by competing to take home the North American Award, chosen by an expert panel of judges: Dr. Anita Jindal, Senior Director of Engineering at VMware, Akshaya Aradhya, Director of Engineering at Netflix, and Nirmal Srinivasan, Software Engineering Director at PayPal.

“We are extremely proud to recognize leading managers in the tech industry, locally and across North America,” says Mandy Walker, Executive Director of Marketing at Motion Recruitment, Tech in Motion’s creator. “These tech leaders' steadfast dedication to empowering their teams through all circumstances and adapting to changing circumstances, while still inspiring those around them, deserve recognition.”

Mary and Patrick were lauded by teammates and leadership for their dedication to their teams and the Agero business at large, creating avenues to support individual career growth amongst their direct reports, fostering strong, creative, collaborative, and inclusive cultures within their teams, inspiring innovating work, and delivering the industry-leading driver assistance products Agero’s more than 100 client programs and 115 million consumers rely on each and every day.

Mary is a teacher at heart. She teaches her team how to do the job to the best of their ability, how to develop the best approaches to engineering, product development and project management. She truly enjoys teaching her group to develop their skills and hone their talent. She knows what it takes, and she holds the bar high,” said George Horvat, Chief Operations Officer, Agero. “It’s innate for Mary: the type of passion she has.”

Of Patrick, Rob Cameron, GM Swoop SaaS Platform and SF Office Lead, comments: “Patrick manages an extremely complex and extensive roadmap that is consistently well-componentized, digestible, transparent, and most of all continuously executes against our company strategy. His dedication to delicately balancing the integrity and quality of his team’s work with the high expectations of the business, while also maintaining his team’s enthusiasm, confidence, and personal well-being, is remarkable. His precise and methodical approach is unmatched and his impact on his people and this company is truly unique. “

After the success of last year’s virtual event, the 2021 Timmy Awards ceremony on Oct. 28 will once again be an entirely digital experience on YouTube Premiere. North American winners will be announced live in front of Finalists, Regional Winners, and members of the tech community from across North America.
