Keeping all parties informed on when repairs begin helps to avoid delays

Depending upon the day of the week and the time of day, Agero will determine if:

  1. The pickup location is open and will be open when the service provider can pick up the vehicle
  2. The tow destination is open and will be open when the service provider can deliver the vehicle, taking into account weather and traffic
  3. If all conditions of the release can be satisfied including securing a service provider who can pay the fees to the pickup location that day (if release fees are required)

It is best practice to let the Repair Shop and the Customer know when you have requested that Agero obtain the release and deliver the vehicle. If the vehicle is at a storage yard or impound lot, share with them that it may take time to obtain the release.

Agero will contact the repair shop to inform them that the vehicle was delivered and that the keys were available. Agero will also close the case once vehicle delivery has occurred and update the case information in the Accident Management Dashboard. At this point, the repair shop should have the vehicle and begin their assigned activities (teardown, appraisal, repair).
