Many drivers have either witnessed or experienced flat tires, jump starts, or tows while on the road. However, what often goes unnoticed are the significant hazards linked with these roadside occurrences, which can result in severe injuries or even fatalities. The Federal Highway Administration reports a staggering figure: Over 6,200 pedestrian fatalities and 75,000 pedestrian injuries are attributed to roadway crashes annually.
However, there are precautions you can take to ensure the safety for everyone involved in a roadside event--whether it be the driver, passenger, or service provider, or others on and off the road.
