Partnership combines digital roadside assistance, claims intelligence, and driver risk analytics to help insurers and automakers improve efficiency, enhance driver safety, and deliver better customer experiences
Summary:
Agero, through its Urgently acquisition, is partnering with MOTER Technologies to help insurers and automakers create more connected roadside assistance, claims, and driver support experiences.
The collaboration combines Urgently's digital roadside assistance platform and Agero's nationwide service network with MOTER's connected vehicle intelligence, claims visualization, and driver risk technologies.
MEDFORD, Mass. – Sept. 10, 2026 – Agero, through its Urgently acquisition, announced a partnership with MOTER Technologies, Inc. (MOTER), an insurtech company that transforms connected vehicle data into real-time risk and claims insights. Together, the companies will deliver an integrated solution that connects roadside assistance, accident support, claims intelligence, and driver engagement to help insurers and automakers respond more proactively to vehicle incidents.
The collaboration pairs Urgently’s digital roadside assistance platform and Agero’s nationwide service network with MOTER’s connected vehicle intelligence, claims visualization, and driver risk technologies.
The integration enables connected vehicle incidents to trigger digital roadside and accident assistance automatically while simultaneously creating a data-backed claims package. By expediting first notice of loss (FNOL) and claim triage, the solution helps insurers shift from reactive claims handling to a more proactive, streamlined response model, reducing friction, limiting fraud exposure, and improving the policyholder experience.
MOTER’s platform uses connected vehicle data to digitally reconstruct accident events, helping insurers improve claims visibility, shorten resolution times, and enhance operational efficiency. The company is also advancing driver engagement technologies that provide real-time coaching and feedback around risky driving behaviors.
“Today’s drivers increasingly expect more connected, transparent, and technology-enabled service experiences, while insurers and automakers are under pressure to improve efficiency and strengthen customer loyalty,” said Harrison Russell, Chief Client Officer, Automotive at Agero. “By combining Urgently’s digital roadside assistance platform, Agero’s nationwide network and accident management expertise, and MOTER’s connected vehicle intelligence, we’re helping insurers and automakers accelerate claims response, improve visibility into vehicle incidents, and deliver more proactive support when drivers need it most.”

“When evaluating roadside assistance partners, we sought a provider with the technology, nationwide scale, and operational flexibility to support highly tailored embedded insurance and mobility programs,” said Adrian Thompson, Chief Sales Officer, MOTER. “The combination of Urgently’s digital roadside assistance platform and Agero’s extensive service network, automotive expertise, and operational experience made them a strong fit for our long-term vision. Together, we can help insurers and automakers simplify claims operations, improve driver engagement, and bring new connected insurance experiences to market more efficiently.”
Agero supports two-thirds of the top auto insurers in North America, managing approximately 14 million annual roadside events, including more than one million accidents, across more than 150 million vehicles. Following its acquisition of Urgently, Agero has expanded its portfolio of technology-enabled roadside, accident management, and mobility assistance solutions, strengthening its ability to support insurers and automakers throughout the vehicle ownership lifecycle.
The partnership also supports the growing shift toward embedded and OEM-branded insurance experiences, where automakers are seeking technology partners that can deliver scalable, customer-focused insurance and mobility programs without the complexity of building those capabilities internally.
Key program highlights include:
Claims Visualization Tool: MOTER’s platform can pull data directly from connected vehicles to digitally reconstruct accident events, helping insurers reduce fraud exposure, improve claims efficiency, and speed resolution. Preliminary feedback from a trial with a top personal auto carrier showed a reduction in claims cycle times of up to three days.
DriveSage and RiskSage Apps: These mobile driver coaching and safety applications are designed to score driving performance and provide real-time feedback on risky driving behavior. RiskSage also leverages in-vehicle dash cam integrations to enhance visibility and driver insights.
Proactive Crash-to-Care: When a crash is identified by a connected vehicle or mobile app, the program can automatically initiate digital assistance workflows, including accident support services, roadside dispatch, and streamlined claims intake.
Tailored Experiences for Connected and EV Drivers: These program options are designed to support modern vehicle ownership experiences, including home EV charger coverage options, OEM parts preferences for repairs, and vehicle replacement benefits following total-loss events.
MOTER works with several leading automotive, insurance, and technology organizations to support connected and embedded insurance offerings, including Ride Yellow, Aioi Nissay Dowa Insurance (ADI), Sonatus, Guidewire, and May Mobility.
